****2017 Grand Band Sweepstakes Raffle is Underway!!!*****

The Macomb Band Boosters have kicked off their annual “$$Grand$$ Band Sweepstakes”, a raffle with a chance to win $1,000.  Sponsors again this year are Citizens Bank, Gelsosomo’s Pizzeria, Robin Briney of Key Realtors, and Terrill Title Co. Proceeds from the raffle will be used to purchase more instruments and equipment for the beginning band program. The beginning band program provides the foundation for students in 6thgrade at Edison and St. Paul’s school and the overall band program.

Raffle tickets are available from any band parent or at Terrill Title Co., 117 South Side Square, weekdays 8:00 am- 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm- 4:00 pm through Friday, April 28. Tickets can also be purchased at the Macomb Senior High School Spring band concert at Fellheimer Auditorium on Tuesday, May 2 prior to concert time, which is 7:30 pm.

Tickets will not be sold to anyone under age 18. Tickets cost $5 each or $20 for 5 tickets. The winner will be announced during the concert on May 2 and need not be present to win.

Purpose: Coordinate the distribution and maintenance of high school marching uniforms and concert attire

High School Band Shirts

Purpose: Coordinate the distribution of high school band shirts to band members and others.

Grades 6-8 Music Shirts

Purpose: Coordinate the distribution of grade 6-8 music shirts to band and choir members.

Coordinator(s): Monica Torrance, who seeks volunteers to help with this team.

Band Water

Purpose: Coordinate providing ice water (and, optionally, other refreshments) for the marching band at national anthem and half-time performances as well as Conduct-a-thon and other activities

Chaperones

Purpose: Coordinate adult supervision for band activities.

Coordinator(s): Missy Celestine, who seeks volunteers to serve as chaperones.

District Chaperone Policy

According to school district policy, in order to volunteer as a chaperone, an individual must complete the "Criminal Background Information Form for Resource Persons and Volunteers Working in the Macomb Schools" and submit it to the school district for approval.

Individuals willing to chaperone band activities should download, complete, and submit this form (to their respective school) as soon as possible so that the bands have a pool of individuals from which to choose chaperones.

March-a-thon

Purpose: Coordinate preparation for this Macomb Band Boosters' annual fall fundraiser and related fundraising activities.

Coordinator(s): Please contact the Band Boosters president to volunteer.

Senior Recognition

Purpose: Prepare for and assist with the high school band's annual senior recognition, an event that recognizes band and color guard seniors early in the marching season (separate from MHS Senior Night). Notes for Senior Recognition coordinators.

Coordinator(s): Traditionally, parents of juniors. Please contact the Band Boosters president to volunteer.

Chili Supper

Purpose: Prepare for and assist with the sixth grade and junior high bands' annual fall fundraiser

Coordinator(s): Traditionally, the Boosters middle school representative(s).

Fruit & Truffle Sale

Purpose: Prepare for and assist with the Macomb Band Boosters' annual winter fundraiser

Coordinator(s): Gayle Zahnle, who seeks volunteers to help with this team.

Potential Teams
Spirit

Purpose: Participate in the design, acquisition, and distribution of annual themed items such as blankets, shirts, band-anas, pennants, etc.
